WE ARE NOTHING BUT THE NERDS THEY SAY WE ARE

There's a sample off Kid Koala's track "Nerdball" that says "we are nothing but the nerds they say we are". I always thought it was quite a funny and intriguing sample, actually one of the many funny samples used on the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome album. I always interpreted that the line meant that others will always see you in one particular way no matter how much you try to alter or better yourself. But then I finally found out that the sample was from the movie Revenge of the Nerds. I finally got to see the movie and the actual line is: "Their action tonight demands an immediate retaliation. And, if we don't, we're nothing but the nerds they say we are." Which is somewhat the opposite of what I first interpreted it to be. With that said, fuck the haters and take control.
