Rahsaan Roland Kirk is one of those remarkable people that really inspire me. He was a multi-instrumentalist who played the tenor-saxophone, flute and clarinet among many others. He was a great improvisationist and could also play multiple instruments at the same time. Kirk was also an influential flautist who developed several techniques on his own including singing or humming whilst playing. This technique can be heard in his rendition of "Ain't No Sunshine". Kirk also had the ability of 'circular breathing' which allowed him to play any single note for any length of time he wished. He was also blind.
